Now and again I get a simple stage 1 remap that the doesn't agree with a vehicle. Generally a tweak on the map will settle things down, unfortunately this Land Rover's clutch started slipping with the additional 50nm of torque. Obviously this means that the clutch is already pretty worn just not quite enough to show it on it's original map. Ok, bit of a long one this.... 2016 Ford Transit booked in for a Stage 1 remap. However, we found a problem with the DPF, C.V Boot unclipped, and front brake pad wear sensor missing.... The customer bought the van from a sales company, they put a fresh mot on abut it failed on excessive smoke. Following on from my last post.... Ford Fiesta Battery Clamp Repair. - Battery replaced as the terminal was too damaged from the movement. - A new positive cable and clamp assembly was £250 😬 So we went for a repair instead. - Cut off the OE Clamp and attach all cables to a new positive clamp. Customer said the car would switch off if she hit a pot hole, she would wiggle the wires under the bonnet, and it would start.
