About Me & G M Auto Solutions

First of all, thank you for visiting the website.
 

would like to introduce myself and share my background with you. My name is Gemma Elliott, I was born in September 1991 in Gorleston~On~Sea, Norfolk.

 

The best and most accurate memories I hold of my childhood would be spending time at my parent’s garage. They set up a small independent vehicle recovery and roadside assistance company in March 2000, which quickly expanded into a fully equipped garage with two recovery vehicles. This is where I spent as much time as mum and dad would allow while I was growing up. From last minute nationwide recovery callouts at midnight to full days in the garage alongside dad during school holidays, if I was allowed to go I would, though when I wasn’t able to go I didn’t half get upset about it! I even remember getting my first pair of blue overalls from a store in East Runton, Norfolk whilst we were on holiday, I still have and use the hi-vis yellow bomber jacket I had for the winter!

 

Since leaving school I have always been in work, from working in a fast food store, to prescription deliveries or within the motor trade. The motor trade has always been my goal, it was just a matter of getting my foot in the door and seeing which area of the trade suited me. I spent time at a Honda dealership, an independent garage and two national motor factors. Parts and garage equipment is where I found I was best suited but I really missed face to face customer interaction and the lack of physical work. Whilst in these workplaces I continued to gain valuable knowledge, techniques and confidence in my work that has helped me to get to where I am today. The biggest problem I have found working for any company is their lack of customer service and understanding. Sales and profit margins are important in any business but it can also cause problems between a branch and their customer as sacrifices in good customer relations often seemed to be forfeited in order to reach a pressurised monetary target.

 

In late 2019 I decided it was time to take everything I had learnt into creating a business of my own and in January 2020 G M Auto Solutions went live. Selling as much as I could to fund this new venture I opened with a 2006 Ford Transit, equipped it with tools, a hydrogen carbon cleaning machine, diagnostic units and re-sale products such as consumables, tools and garage equipment. This layout worked fantastically as a start and got me going, however I wasn’t quite happy with how it looked. A few tweaks were completed and some further investment made to set a new path in the business plan. With the business proving to be viable, I moved into an industrial unit in July 2020. Another huge step in such a small space of time but as my customer base has grown so has my need for a business premises to meet the demand for G M Auto Solutions. With ‘first appearance is everything’ in mind, I have spent a lot of time bringing it up to my standard, with a visibly clean and professional workshop. I invested in an Alientech remapping tool, the latest hydrogen carbon cleaning machine and other products to support the new business plan. The new premises now means that people have a place to come to should they wish to just pop in and say hello, although I am still able to do local work at customers’ homes or business with when required.

 

The main focus going forward will be helping both independent drivers and business owners save money on fuel and repairs by using G M Auto Solutions services and products. With economy vehicle remapping, hydrogen engine carbon cleaning, chemical treatments and more, we can create a care plan tailored to suit the work of your vehicle will prevent mechanical failures and improve the number of miles travelled per gallon of fuel. In addition to this our services will reduce your carbon footprint too.

 

I am a small business and I have grown up within a small family business too so I fully understand how much your business and the vehicles that keep it moving, mean to you. This will forever be at the heart of our conversations when discussing your requirements and tailoring a quote or providing a trial with honesty, care and precision.
